Found mother cat and five (5) kittens abandoned at Morganton Baptist Church. I have called the Animal Shelter in Fannin County and the humane society but at this time they are not able to take the mother and her kittens. The kittens are about 2 weeks old as of Sunday, May 6 as their eyes are not opened. If you are able to help with these kittens by either fostering them or adopting the kittens when weaned.  please call 706 374-5561 or Morganton Baptist Church 706 374-5100. I could not leave them out for a dog or other animal to possibly hurt them. The mother is very people friendly. I already have 3 cats and 4 dogs and am not able to keep them. Also, anyone that may be able to help with getting the mother and kittens spade/vet bills, shots please let me know. I have contacted the local animal clinics and they are not able to help as well as contacting some folks in Blairsville who are not able to take animals out of their county. I have also spoken with the commissioner about the problem in Fannin County as two of the cats I have are strays as well as many cats that have been put out in and around the neighborhood.
